Who is behind Staffshots
Staffshots is made by Erik Svensson, in Lyckeby just outside Karlskrona in the south of Sweden. It is run by Erik Finans AB, a Swedish company, and you are buying from that company, not from a marketplace or a reseller.
Why I built it
Most company team pages look improvised. One person has a studio portrait from five years ago, the next has a holiday photo cropped from a group shot, and the newest hire has nothing at all. Fixing it the traditional way means booking a photographer, getting everyone in the same room on the same day, and doing it all again the next time someone joins.
I wanted something a small firm could do on a Tuesday afternoon: everyone sends one ordinary photo, and everyone comes back in the same light, the same crop and the same background. Someone who joins next year gets the same look in a few minutes.
I also wanted it to be the kind of service I would be comfortable uploading my own face to. So the photos are stored in the EU, they are never used to train AI, the uploaded photo is deleted after 30 days, and you see free watermarked previews before you pay anything.
